The draw for the 2022 Arab Futsal Cup has taken place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
The event will probably be held in Dammam from 20 to twenty-eight June with the participation of Moroccan groups, “title holders”, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Algeria, Iraq, Palestine, Mauritania and Somalia.
The draw, which was held within the presence of the Secretary Basic of the Arab Federation, Dr. Raja Al Salami, and the Vice President of the Saudi Arabian Soccer Affiliation, Dr. Khaled Al Tubaiti, led to the choices of the groups of Morocco, Kuwait, Mauritania and Somalia within the first group.
The second group included the groups of Egypt, Iraq and Algeria, and the third – the groups of Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Libya.
That is the primary event of the Arab Soccer Affiliation within the 2022-2023 season.
The primary version of this event was held in Cairo in 1998 with the groups of Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Jordan, Algeria, Palestine, Sudan and Somalia, and the Egyptian workforce topped their title.
In 2005, Cairo additionally hosted the second draw, by which the groups of Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria, Libya, Iraq, Tunisia, Palestine and Morocco participated, whereas the Pharaohs retained the title.
In 2007, Libya hosted the third version, which included groups from Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Morocco, Egypt and Iraq, with the land homeowners profitable the title.
The event returned to Cairo in 2008 with groups from Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Iraq, Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Libya, with the Libyan workforce profitable the championship.
Groups from Egypt, Mauritania, Bahrain, Kuwait, Morocco, Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Comoros additionally participated in final 12 months’s event in Cairo, and the Moroccan workforce received the title.
